I believe every countries have long history as like their cuisine. Likewise Thai cuisine has been inherited through all ages with well represent to culture and refinement. As you may know “Tom Yum Goong”, one of Thai soups which is very popular for all visitors by its taste spicy and sour. And because of Thai food is almost hot, why having a sweet tooth is needed after meal.
I’m Thai, but never thought that making Thai dessert is easy. It is not complicated but elaborately.
Today I tried one menu which quite easy and less ingredients. Its name “Khanom Kleep Lamduan” a kind of sweet Thai cookies. The name are called because of its resemblance to Thai flower; ivory-colored, sweet fragrance and unique three-petal design.
I have here the recipe. Threshing all ingredients then create the blossoms like three-petal flower.
- 2 cups all-purpose wheat flour
- 1 egg (egg white for joining the tips of three wedges)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
After baking, having it smoked overnight in an airtight container with an aromatic candle for sweet smell.
